Outside Operator — Crude Unit (Shift)
Operate the atmospheric and vacuum towers, fired heaters, and crude preheat train. 12-hour rotating shift. Five years' refinery outside-operator experience required. Process Technology AAS preferred. Salary $87–$104k DOE plus shift differential, OT, and full Cigna benefits.
Instrumentation & Controls Technician II
Maintain field instrumentation (Rosemount, Foxboro, Endress+Hauser) and DCS-side cabinets (Honeywell C300, Triconex ESD). 4-year electronics or ISA-certified background. Familiarity with HART, FOUNDATION fieldbus, and ladder logic strongly preferred. $78–$95k DOE plus on-call rotation.
Process Engineer — Reformer / Isomerization
Day-shift engineer responsible for Units 3 and 5. Monitor unit performance, develop optimization studies, lead minor MOCs. BS Chemical Engineering; 3–7 years refining experience. ASPEN HYSYS and PIMS proficiency. $110–$135k plus annual bonus.
SCADA / Process-Network Engineer
Maintain plant-floor network (PCN), DCS data historian (OSIsoft PI), and the interface to corporate IT. Familiarity with Purdue Enterprise Reference Architecture, IEC-62443 hardening guidelines. Experience with Honeywell Experion PKS, Triconex Tristation, and Cisco IE-3400 industrial switches required. $115–$140k.
Mechanical Reliability Engineer
Lead rotating-equipment reliability program for compressors, pumps, and fired-heater service. ASME / API code background (API-510, 570, 653). Vibration-analysis Cat-II minimum. $115–$140k.
Maintenance Planner / Scheduler
Build the 90-day, 12-month, and 5-year maintenance schedules using SAP-PM. Coordinate contractor manpower for turnaround events. 8+ years refining maintenance background; SMRP-certified preferred. $92–$112k.
Process Safety Engineer
Lead PHA / LOPA studies, MOC review board, PSI document control. PE preferred; CCPSC welcomed. 5+ years downstream experience required. $105–$130k.
Internship Program
Our paid summer internship (May–August) hosts 10–12 undergraduate students from regional universities in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, instrumentation & controls, and process technology. Applications open October 15 for the following summer. internships@louisianapetrochem.com
